Save Southside

Good friends of our family, the Lamberts, who have been long time residents of the Southside of Francois Lake, in conjunction with a lot of help from their neighbours and friends are doing their best to build a fire guard for the Nadina wildfire that is knocking at their doors.  We have been left without air support or help from the wildfire service and doing the best they can with what equipment they have and with a determined resolve to protect their homes and properties and their livelihood and all those who call Southside home.  In addition to all the stress and anxiety that these people are going through, they are also burdened with a very large financial cost, primarily for fuel, which none can really afford.  I know that there are many great folks in this world and in this province who want to help and you can.  You may not be in the front lines with the Lamberts, their neighbours and friends but you can help greatly from wherever you are.  We need to offset some of the huge fuel costs to be able to keep this vigil up.  Please donate what you can.  All proceeds will be given to the Lambert family to help cover the fuel costs that they have all incurred.  This would not have been necessary if we were not left on our own to battle the Nadina fire.  Thank you very kindly and may you be blessed for your kindness.
