DelRay South Shore Club, a ’jewel on the treasure coast' of Florida is a community-owned little resort chartered in 1981. With only 15 units, families like ours have been congregating to enjoy the delightful warmth of the beach and family-oriented atmosphere. For over 30 years, families like mine have been flocking to our annual vacations- from Kentucky, Minnesota, Canada, and Europe- in anticipation of meeting up with friends, barbecuing, golfing and raising our own children at the same place with the same friendly people and the same community atmosphere we grew up with. Our Saturday to Saturday weeks are frequently passed from Grandparents to their children and Grandchildren. Individual ownership ranges from 1 to 17 weeks
Unfortunately, there has been some trouble in our paradise. In 2017 the Association overwhelmingly voted in favor of keeping the community in its current configuration. Recently some members of the board of directors have begun taking action to push through a bid to sell our treasured community. Unfortunately, there has been a lack of transparency and accuracy in communicating the particulars and technicalities to the owners/ residents.
Because an overwhelming majority of us want to enjoy many more years and generations of fun and camaraderie with our current friends (and hopefully many new ones), we need your help! Please help us to fight the current bid to sell as well as educate all our current owners on the actual ramifications and details of the proposed sale. The current information being disseminated is both unclear and misleading.
We are in need of just $20,000 as soon as possible to cover legal fees needed to file our complaint and emergency motion for temporary injunctive relief to the 15th circuit court of Palm Beach County.
