Hi friends, community members, and all who believe in the necessity of DIY spaces,
We need your help to keep our small, independent venue alive. Due to frustrating delays from the city on issuing our liquor license, we haven’t been able to generate the revenue we need to stay open, and now we’re facing the risk of closure. We’re reaching out because our space means a lot—not just to us but to the entire local community. With your support, we can keep this place running and continue providing a platform for art, music, and creativity.
Why This Venue Matters:
Since we opened, our space has become so much more than just a venue. We’ve created a safe, inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome. We've hosted literally thousands of artists, given a platform to local musicians, and brought together people who are passionate about supporting the arts in an authentic, accessible way. We've provided services to those in our community who need them the most. We are proud to be one of the few remaining DIY venues in our area, a true community-driven space.
Our venue isn’t just four walls; it’s a home for creative expression, a refuge for those who feel overlooked, and a unique gathering place that celebrates individuality and grassroots culture. When we say we’re DIY, we mean it—we built this place with our hands, our hearts, and the passion of people who believe in creating something real and meaningful for our community.
Why We Need Your Help:
Because of the city’s delays on a decision to grant us our liquor license, we haven’t been able to generate any income, leaving us unable to cover rent and basic operational costs. We’re asking for $18,000 to cover two months of rent and the $7000 lawyer fee that will be necessary in the fight to keep our doors open. Without this support, we’ll be forced to close, which would be a huge loss for everyone who has found a home in our space.
Help Us Keep the DIY Spirit Alive!
Your donation will help us keep this space available for everyone who needs it, some of whom being our most vulnerable citizens. By supporting us, you’re not just helping pay the rent—you’re helping keep DIY culture alive, supporting local art, and preserving a unique space for our community.
Other Ways You Can Help
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this campaign with your friends, family, and anyone who values community spaces like ours. Every share makes a huge difference and brings us closer to reaching our goal.
Thank you so much for supporting us and believing in the power of community-driven spaces. Let’s keep this venue alive, together.
