Save Sihina's Sight

Sihina ('See-he-ner' ) is an amazing 8 year old boy living in an orphanage in Sri Lanka who urgently needs an operation to save his eyesight.
He also needs an urgent operation to correct a severe defect in his left hip which has made his left leg much shorter than his right and causes him to walk with difficulty and with a profound limp.
The two opertions are highly specialised and hence need funding. Both surgeons agree Sihina should have the two operations together to avoid two hospital stays and two general anaesthetics.
Sihina is cheerful, full of energy and never complains but the sad fact is he is losing his sight and becoming more and more disabled as he grows. It is crucial that he has the operations in the next 6 months to prevent both conditions becoming irreversible.
The hospital involved has generously agreed to fund half the cost of the two procedures and we volunteers at the orphanage have offered to raise the other half.
So, we really need your help!
The remaining half amounts to 2,000,000 Sri Lankan Rupees which is £10,000.
There are so many deserving causes in the world but this is genuinely an urgent case and very close to our hearts who are lucky enough to work with Sihina.
Please donate whatever you can afford to help us reach the £10,000 needed. It will be so gratefully received and as soon as the money has been raised, Sihina's life changing operations can take place. He will be given the first available slot for his surgery.
