Help SAVE sea turtles from extinction.

I am raising money for Turtle Camp Los Quelonios. The Camp is located in Playa Ventura, in the municipality of Copala. State of Guerrero, Mexico.

My friend Dawn, my friend McDonald and I, Javier, visited Turtle Camp Los Quelonios in august 2018. I visited again the camp in December 2018. 

In august, Mr. Angel and biology student Aketzally took us to look for sea turtles. We found some olive ridley turtles laying their eggs. We collected their eggs and we planted them in the camp nursery. In December, Mr. Angel took me to look for turtles. We found some olive ridley turtles and some leatherback turtles (leatherback turtles are the biggest sea turtles). We also collected their eggs and we planted them in the camp nursery. When baby turtles are born, they are released immediately. They are never kept in captivity. They grow in their natural habitat.

Six of the seven sea turtles lay their eggs in Mexican beaches. Three of them lay their eggs in Playa Ventura. The work volunteers do to preserve sea turtles is of great importance and it is important to support them. You can support the camp by making a donation today. 

Right now, the camp needs a Quad/ATV, All-Terrain 350, gasoline for the quad, radios, cyclonic mesh, shadow mesh, mosquito net, red lights, latero gloves, etc. Your donation of $5, $10, $25, $50, $100 or more dollars will help to buy what the camp needs. All the money raised will be to buy what the camp needs.

Sea turtles are in danger of extinction. We must do anything we can to protect them. In Mexico is prohibited to kill sea turtles and eat their eggs, however in some places people still kill turtles to eat them. People eat their eggs too. Also many turtles are captured accidentally every year in commercial fishing nets and they die.

Do you know that sea turtles have been around since the time of dinosaurs? AMAZING! Sea turtles have inhabited planet earth for more than 100 million years. Only one in a thousand turtles reach adulthood. Mama turtles return to lay their eggs to the same beach where they were born. Papa turtles do not return to the beaches.
