GROVE HOUSE Entertainment Complex and Scandals Nightclub’s 39-Year Legacy is STILL at risk!
This has been a truly uncertain time for people and businesses, alike. Your help is absolutely necessary, in that after nearly-four decades, GROVE HOUSE (Scandals Nightclub, Club Eleven, BOILER ROOM) does not become another economic loss for Asheville and another casualty of this pandemic. Scandals Nightclub has survived in its Downtown Asheville home through some of the toughest times in history; all thanks to the gracious patronage of, both, our regular customers and out of town guests. While most businesses have been given permission to resume operations, we’ve been shut down 100% since March 17th.
Here’s the best-case scenario as outlined by our Governor Roy Cooper:
1) Phase Two: it began in June, yet a reopening allowance did not include bars and event venues, especially businesses, like a nightclub, where the venue is indoors. Given the latest news conference addressed by Gov. Cooper, detailed the reopening plan for North Carolina, it’s possible there’ll be either an extension to the Phase 2 guidelines or a “Phase 2.5”, due to the COVID-19 case increase state-wide.
2) Phase Three: it was initially planned for some time in July. THAT IS UNCERTAIN NOW. There is no projected date in which we can expect to open our doors. We do know, however, that when we are permitted to open, we will be imposed capacity limitations. Therefore, the restrictions placed upon businesses like Scandals Nightclub, Club Eleven, BOILER ROOM are extreme, and WITHOUT HELP, SURVIVAL IS IMPOSSIBLE.
SCANDALS NIGHTCLUB (voted the “#1 Place To Dance in WNC”, for decades) AND GROVE HOUSE STILL NEEDS YOUR HELP! Please know that the donations we receive are deeply appreciated! Every penny will be used strictly for the purposes of re-opening when that time comes.
ALL available options are being utilized to survive and open as soon as we are granted permission to do so. It is with sincere hope and genuine gratitude in this plea, that there are truly amazing people who will make it possible for Scandals Nightclub and all of the GROVE HOUSE Entertainment Complex venues to continue entertaining YOU for many more years, to come… THANK YOU!
