Friends of SET (South of France English Theatre)
As you are probably aware, during these very trying times for all, we at SET are struggling to keep things afloat due to the lock down and inability to open our doors and provide entertainment and social functions to the masses.
We have not been sitting around doing nothing and have built a new team of people behind the scenes
to rejuvenate and build on the fabulous structure we already had in place up until now. We fully expect to be opening with a new 'oomph' and provide that social hub that we will all be looking for after these treacherous times and lock down have ended.
In the meantime we are pleading for anyone that can help to contribute to the upkeep of the premises (mainly the rent) during this period where we have been shut now for 6 weeks and expect to be shut for the next 4 weeks minimum. We have bills that still need to be paid and I (Frances) am literally at my wits end.
Please, lets not allow this unexpected and tragic event ruin what we have built together here in Le Cannet. We have already survived floods and fire in the past 8 years but we always came back brighter and stronger and we fully intend to do so once again.
We have always only been as strong and as successful as we are due to our fantastic supporters and patrons and we are sure that you will once more be there in our time of need.
As they always say, anything helps and in this situation, a phrase has never been more true. Anything you can afford really would help and once we are back, we can then sit down and work out how we can thank you. We are thinking along the lines of lifetime memberships for those who have managed to help us?
We CAN be back up and running within the next 2-3 months and will come back brighter and more socially connected than ever before.

As you can see from our video below, there SET venue is more than just a theatre group, its a hub for like minded people to congregate and simply chew the fat or to look at an interesting piece of art OR you may want to hire our venue for a private function? Anything and everything is possible!
