<div>My name is Rima and I live in France. I’m launching this fundraising campaign to help my friend, Sahar, evacuate her family from Gaza before it’s too late for all of them.

<div>As the situation in Gaza snowballs, Sahar wants to save her children and grandchildren. The family of 7 adults and 4 children had to flee to the southern city of Rafah and left everything behind.

</div>
<div>This is Sahar Khader. This desperate cry for help comes after 6 months of survival under the most inhumane conditions in Gaza. All I’m asking for is a chance for my family to breathe freedom and embrace a sense of safety. We are all exhausted, and we started to catch illnesses.

<div>The current situation
</div>
<div>The current catastrophic situation is well covered on social media and we are all aware of what’s happening to some extent. Like most civilians in the Gaza Strip, we had to flee from our house to areas in the south, namely Rafah city. With the lack of food, water, hygiene, access to all basic human needs, let alone the hold on access to schools, and the tormenting mental state the distressed people in Gaza are witnessing.

<div>Meet our warm family
</div>
<div>After spending years in building our cozy house, we all had to flee and leave all of our belongings and memories behind. We miraculously made to the southern city of Rafah.
</div>
<div>I see myself a valiant stay-at-home mom who’s doing her utmost best to keep her children around her, but unfortunately we were scattered in Rafah and could barely see each other once or twice a week. We recently managed to find a garage to call it a place where we gather to practice hope.
</div>
<div>My 14-year-old daughter, Mennah, dreams of going back to her bed to sleep peacefully. She has a talent for drawing and all she depicts is sad faces and gloomy images. She wants to go back to what she considers “normal” which is almost impossible in the foreseeable future.

<div>It squeezes my heart to see her suffering and losing her sense of innocence.
</div>

<div>I have turned 50 this March. My worries got bigger because I have grandchildren now. My married daughter, Alaa has 2 little kids, Amir and Asir. My married son, Ahmed, has a cute little daughter named Ilia. The whole family is suffering the indescribable scourges of war.

<div>My sons Ibrahim (23) and Abdulrahman (20) are trying to provide food for the family from the scarce aids Gaza receives. They are technically sleeping in the streets because the hosting garage can’t fit us all in.

<div>The call to action
</div>
<div>Gaza is locked on its people, but there are difficult ways to evacuate civilians from there. The most common way is basically paying off a company in Egypt to enlist evacuees’ names on the Rafah border list of permitted departure. The average fee for listing 1 adult is estimated at $5,000 and $2500 for minors. In practice, we are 7 adults and 4 children.

<div>Therefore, please help us raise $45,000 before it’s too late for all of us.
</div>

<div>The process is going to be done as follows:

<div>Before the fund is fully raised, Ibrahim Khader (the son of Sahar) has already borrowed money to pay $5000 and will use it to leave Gaza to Egypt where Hala Consulting and Tourism is located (the company in Egypt responsible for evacuating civilians from Gaza).

<div>After the funds are collected, they will be transferred to Ibrahim Khader (the son of Sahar). He will receive the money in his Bank Account. Ibrahim will go to the office of the Hala Consulting and Tourism and process the documents. He will receive a receipt of payment from the company. The names should take 10 days max to be listed in the departures at the Rafah crossing.

<div>Cet appel à l’aide survient après avoir vécu l’enfer à Gaza pendant 6 mois durant lesquels nous avons bien tant que mal essayé de survivre la situation inhumaine dans notre pays.

<div>Nous sommes extrêmement fatigués et les maladies commencent à se faire sentir.

<div>Notre histoire-là voici en quelques mots :

<div>La situation tragique par laquelle passe notre pays est connue de tous, elle est bien couverte par les médias et les réseaux sociaux. Comme la plupart des civils de la bande de Gaza nous étions forcés de fuir notre cher et bienaimé foyer en se dirigeant vers le sud plus précisément la ville de Rafah avec l’espoir de survivre et de retrouver de meilleures conditions de vie.

<div>Avec le manque de nourriture, d’eau et d’hygiène ; l’accès à tous les besoins humains fondamentaux se fait de plus en plus difficile, sans mentionner bien évidemment la fermeture des écoles et des universités depuis plus de 6mois maintenant.

<div>L’état mental tourmentant dont souffre tout un chacun à Gaza est affolant.

<div>Venez, j’aimerais vous présenter ma famille :

<div>après avoir passé des années à bâtir notre cher chez nous avec beaucoup d’amour, nous étions dans l’urgence de tout quitter. Nous avons laissé derrière nous toutes nos possessions et nous sommes miraculeusement arrivés à la ville de Rafah sains et saufs.
</div>
<div>Je me considère comme une mère vaillante et femme au foyer qui a toujours essayé de garder ses enfants heureux autour d’elle, mais malheureusement ce n’est plus le cas depuis notre arrivée à Rafah nous étions dans l’obligation de nous séparer et à peine si on se voyait deux fois par semaine.

<div>À Rafah, nous y avons réussi à trouver un garage pour nous abriter, un garage qui nous réunit et où nous avons un semblant de vie pour garder toujours espoir un avenir meilleur.

<div>Ma fille de 14 ans ; Mennah rêve de son école, de ses amis et de revenir un jour à une vie normale et paisible sans angoisse. Mina est douée pour le dessin mais dernièrement tous ses dessins ne sont que des visages tristes et pétrifiés. Ça me brise le cœur de la voir ainsi perdre de jour en jour son innocence et sa joie de vivre.

<div>Je viens de fêter mes 50 ans et mes peurs grandissent de plus en plus maintenant que j’ai des petits-enfants.

<div>Ma fille Alaa est mariée et elle a deux beaux enfants en bas âge Amir et Asir tandis que mon fils Ahmed a une jolie petite fille Ilia.

<div>Malgré les dangers qui guettent les rues de la bande de Gaza, mes fils Ibrahim 23 ans et Abdourahmane 20ans tentent chaque jour de nous trouver de la nourriture et la nuit ils sont obligés de dormir dans la rue car le garage ne peut nous accueillir tous.

<div>Toute ma famille souffre des ravages de la guerre. Des ravages physiques et sur tout psychologiques.

<div>Gaza est confinée et ses habitants piégés, mais il y a un moyen pour qu’ils puissent quitter l’enclave et évacuer.
</div>
<div>Le seul moyen est d’inscrire leurs noms sur une liste d’évacuation par la frontière de Rafah par le biais d’une société égyptienne. Le coût s’élève à 5,000 $ l’adulte et 2,500$ l’enfant. Nous sommes 7 adultes et 4 enfants cette opération nous coûtera 45,000$.

<div>Avant que le fonds ne soient totalement levés, Ibrahim Khader (le fils de Sahar) paiera 5 000 $ pour quitter Gaza vers l'Egypte afin de pouvoir oragniser la suite pour toute la famille via la societé Hala Consulting and Tourism (la société égyptienne responsable de l'évacuation des civils de Gaza). .

<div>Une fois les fonds collectés, ils seront transférés à Ibrahim Khader (le fils de Sahar). Il recevra l'argent sur son compte bancaire. Ibrahim se rendra au bureau de Hala Consulting and Tourism et traitera les documents. Un reçu de paiement lui sera remis par l'entreprise. Il faudra compter 10 jours pour cette étape et les noms devront être inscrits dans les départs au point de passage de Rafah.
