On Wednesday, the 17th of May of 2017, my wonderful wife and mother of our six beautiful children had a tragic, massive brain hemorrhage. She is only 38 years old.
Through out the day she had been fine taking the kids to school and taking care of the home. She had felt some fatigue which she thought was due to her surprise pregnancy which was unexpected. Rosalva suffers with diabetes as well and her sugars had gotten pretty low. She made sure to eat something to raise the blood sugars and she felt better. As the day progressed, she made dinner and we went outside for a little while, after a few minutes she said she needed to go inside and rest because she was really tired. After about five minutes she called for me to come and she told me that her hand was numb and that she could not take the head ache any more to please help her, then she went unresponsive. I called my Pastor for prayer and support and 911.
When we got to the hospital that night they said that there was nothing they could do. They didn't even know how she was still alive. We called out to our brothers and sisters in faith and prayed for a miracle in Jesus name. On Thursday morning the doctors came to see her again and to re-evaluate her condition. They started her on some antibiotics and a medicine to help the brain swelling come down. Finally a surgeon accepted to take on the challenge to perform a life saving surgery to remove the blood clot and repair the hemorrhaging arteries. The doctors had informed us that she would loss the baby if she had the surgery, but at that point we were thinking about saving the mother of the other six children that range from 12 to 2 years of age, one of them being a special needs child due to complications at birth. She is their main care giver. The surgery was fast, no more than 2 and a half hours. Everything came out good with no complications but now she is in a coma. Only the Lord knows how long that may be. She is gradually responding and stable.
Rosalva will need 24hr care and medications to control blood sugars. She will need to be placed either in a facility equipped to help her or have a 24hr nurse with home care. She has been running mild fevers after the surgery and guess what... she is still pregnant and the little one has a strong heart beat. The baby is fighting as well as Rosalva to cling to life and hope.
We know God is in control of everything because first they said she was done with no hope. Then they said she would lose the baby if she had the surgery. Well God made the way for the surgery and touched the doctor’s hearts to try to help her and now He is taking care of the baby. Which may God Bless all those doctors that still fight for life and help all of our loved ones in times of need, we greatly appreciate all that you do.
We need help raising money as soon as possible to continue her care. The hospital wants her out as soon as possible because emergency Access only covers the expense for two or three weeks. With lack of insurance no other places will take her. This is urgent. Please help us. She is the love of my life.
These funds will be used to provide for either a facility placement or a 24 hr nursing service at home. Also to buy the needed medications and medical devices needed to support life. She will need an oxygen machine as well as feeding supplies, insulin, blood sugar testing supplies and prenatal care.

El miércoles, 17 de mayo de 2017, mi maravillosa esposa y madre de nuestros seis hermosos hijos tuvo una hemorragia cerebral masiva, trágico. Ella tiene 38 años de edad.
A través del día ella había estado bien. Llevo a los niños a la escuela y cuido de la casa como buena ama de casa. Ella había sentido cierta fatiga que ella pensó que era debido a su embarazo sorpresa que fue inesperado. Rosalva sufre con diabetes y su azúcar había bajado bastante baja. Ella se aseguró de comer algo para elevar el azúcar en la sangre y se sintió mejor. Como el día avanzaba, hizo la cena y nos salimos para fuera un rato al patio, después de unos minutos ella me dijo que necesitaba ir se a descansar un rato porque estaba cansada. Después de unos cinco minutos ella me llamó y me dijo que su mano estaba entumecida y que ya no podía soportar el dolor de cabeza más y que por favor la ayudara, entonces ella perdió el conocimiento. Llamé a mi Pastor para la oración y apoyo y al 911.
Cuando llegamos al hospital esa noche nos dijeron que no había nada que podían hacer. Que ni siquiera sabían cómo ella estaba viva todavía. Llamamos a nuestros Hermanos y Hermanas en la fe para orar por un milagro en nombre de Jesús. El jueves por la mañana los médicos vinieron a verla para volver a evaluar su condición. La empezaron con algunos antibióticos y un medicamento para ayudar bajar la inflamación del cerebro. Una cirujana acepto asumir el reto de realizar una cirugía para extraer el coágulo de sangre y reparar las arterias dañadas. Los médicos nos habían informado que ella iba a perder el bebé si la operaban, pero en ese momento nosotros estábamos pensando en salvar a la madre de los otros seis niños que son de 12 a 2 años de edad, uno de ellos es un niño de necesidades especiales, debido a complicaciones en el nacimiento. Ella es la cuidadora principal de sus hijos. La cirugía fue rápida, no más de 2 horas y media. Todo salió bien sin complicaciones pero ahora ella está en coma. Sólo el Señor sabe cuánto puede ser que este así. Ella está respondiendo poco a poco y esta estable.
Rosalva tendrá que tener atención medica las 24 horas del dia. Necesita medicamentos para controlar el azúcar en la sangre. Ella tendrá que ser llevada a una clínica de reabilitacion donde le puedan dar sus cuidados especiales. O tendra que tener una enfermera 24 horas con atención a domicilio. Ella ha estado teniendo fiebres leves después de la cirugía y que cren... está aún embarazada y el pequeño tiene un latido de corazón fuerte. El bebé y Rosalva están luchando y están aferrados a la vida y a la esperanza.
Sabemos que Dios está en control de todo porque primero dijeron los doctores que no tenia esperanza de sobrevivir. Luego dijeron que perdería al bebé si le hacían la cirugía. Dios tocó los corazones de los doctores para tratar de ayudarla y ahora El está cuidando al bebé. Que Dios bendiga a todos aquellos médicos que todavía luchan por la vida y por ayudar a todos nuestros seres queridos en tiempos de necesidad, apreciamos todo lo que hacen.
Necesitamos ayuda para recaudar fondos tan pronto como sea posible para continuar su atención medica. El hospital la quiere fuera tan pronto como sea posible debido a que el Acces de emergencia solamente cubre los gastos para dos o tres semanas. Con la falta de un seguro no la aceptan en otros lugares. Esto es urgente. Por favor ayúdenos. Ella es el amor de mi vida y madre de mis hijos.
Estos fondos serán utilizados para proveer su colocación en una clínica de cuidados especiales o para proveer un servicio a domicilió de enfermería para cuidados especiales. También para comprar los medicamentos necesarios y dispositivos médicos necesarios para sustentar la vida. Ella va a necesitar una máquina de oxígeno, así como alimentación alternativa, insulina, productos para revisar la azúcar y atención prenatal.
