Save Raleigh

Raleigh was diagnosed this week with a urinary disease that causes him to form stones in his bladder, which block it and prevent him from urinating, essentially poisoning him because he cannot express himself and release the toxins that build up.

There is a surgery that can completely change his urethra, widening it so that it will never block, and prevent this from ever happening in the future. As of now, Raleigh is at very high risk of blocking, likely within the next couple of days, and if he does, I cannot afford the vet bill to save him, and would be forced to put him down. To get him into surgery this week and fix the problem, I will need $4,000 upfront, which I simply do not have.

He is my best friend and the most wonderful cat. I know cats are stereotypically assholes, but he is one of those cats that genuinely is the most incredible pet. He greets me at the door, follows me everywhere and is very talkative. He loves to sit on our porch swing and get belly rubs, and let's you tuck him in like a little human and sleeps that way the whole night. He loves to play fetch and prefers dog toys, and his fur is SO soft. He is everything I have and I can't imagine my life without him.

I'm really not a materialistic person, but he is my one joy in life.
