<div>A stunning piece of Chorlton’s history has just been uncovered—and we need your help to save it before it’s lost forever!

<div>During demolition works at the former Islamic High School for Girls on High Lane, a breathtaking mosaic scheme—crafted from Venetian glass smalti, gold leaf, and Jesse Rust recycled glass—was revealed behind decades-old plasterboard. Dating back to around 1905, it’s believed to be part of the original Chorlton convent school, a vital part of the St. John’s RC Parish.

<div>Thanks to developers Cube Homes, demolition has been paused. Now, with the expertise of renowned mosaic artist Tracey Cartledge, we have a rare chance to rescue and restore this heritage gem.
