Save Pancake's Kidney!

Pancake is our 2 and 1/2 year old male ginger kitty that hasn't been doing well over the past week. It turns out that the tube connecting his kidney to his bladder is obstructed. The treatment to save Pancake's kidney and his life is a surgery to place a Subcutaneous Ureteral ByPass (SUB) system. This makes Pancake's kidney have an open path to put urine into his bladder, instead of backing up into his kidney and destroying it.

The money we raise here will help my husband and I pay for Pancake's diagnostics, surgery, and hospital stay at Purdue University Veterinary Teaching Hospital. This is a new and special treatment method and isn't done at just any veterinary clinic -- the kidney is such a delicate organ to work with. We know he is in good hands with Purdue's veterinary team.

Pancake is our little ray of sunshine and he always knows how to make us smile. With his constant purrs and never ceasing cuddle sessions, he really lights up our life. And with a name like Pancake, who couldn't love him! After the loss of a family member and another pet, we could not bear to lose Pancake too.  He is a special part of our little family.
