For over 40 years my mother Pamella Moore has devoted her life to helping others. For most of my life, I have looked up to my mother because she has always put the needs of others before her own including her family and sometimes at great cost to her own needs.
Because of her self-sacrificing spirit, she has neglected herself and never gave it a second thought. Now my mom is paying the ultimate price - she is in the fight of her life.
She knew she didn’t feel well and was in great pain for some time but just assumed it was her rheumatoid arthritis, sadly this was not the case. On November 1, 2017 she was diagnosed with Metastatic Adenocarcinoma and Metastatic Ductal Carcinoma which all stems from Breast Cancer that she didn’t even know she had.
The doctors have said she is on the healthy side of cancer and are amazed that all her blood tests have come back normal...and that just doesn’t happen. So, Mom has done something right in caring for her body in the same way that she has helped so many others do over the last 30 years of her career. She has a real fighting chance to heal and cure this cancer if we can get her to this life saving treatment facility.
