Poor Owen had a nasty fall from our 6th floor apartment window after our property management neglected to fix it after multiple requests over 10 days. He was rushed to the emergency clinic at the SPCA where they were able to diagnose his injuries: <br />

<div>He was fortunate enough not to have any internal bleeding or broken ribs, and. the vets say the breaks were in the best place they could be as far as being easy to heal. He still has a long road to recovery ahead and we could use any help we can get. Owen's going to need to get his bandages changed every 10-14 days over six weeks for just under $800 per visit, coming to about $2400. And that's not including the surgery he will most likely need on his back leg that has been estimated to cost around $6000-$8000, possibly more. He needs his different medications as many as three times a day as well as help eating, drinking, and going to the bathroom so he will need around the clock care. Even with these injuries, the vet is optimistic that Owen will make a full recovery and go on to led a normal life if he can complete his treatment plan! They said the way he's retained his appetite and is behaving as normal is an extremely good sign that he's on the right track. He's still acting like a normal, happy kitty!<br />

<div>He loves Costco chicken and his brother Salem and is the sweetest cat you’ll ever meet. Even through all of his pain he has still been trying to comfort us and give us cuddles as if we’re the ones who need help! Owen’s trying to get back to his normal life already which gives us so much hope for a full recovery.
