Overdrive Studios is a rehearsal space/small D.I.Y venue in Deptford, SE8. We opened our shutters in 2011 and have been welcoming musicians, performers, artists & noisemakers of every genre ever since. We've a friendly family vibe & just wanna keep going.
Since March 2020 we were required to close under Government restrictions due to Covid-19. We opened briefly during the summer but were severely impacted by ever changing guidelines and limitations around social distancing & transmission. In order to provide a Covid secure environment we were forced to reduce our bookings significantly and we couldn't operate at all as a venue because live events had to be cancelled.
We have been knocked back on the Business Rates Holiday & subsequent grants, despite being forced to close under Government restrictions.
Here's the problem... the bills and rent are rolling in even if the money ain't!!!
This is a call out to anyone who supports live music & anyone who's graced us with their presence (or may do so in the future).
Please help us stay alive & kicking whilst keeping those pesky band types off the street!
