For five years I had the privilege to live and work in this top-to-toe converted South London church tower, complete with clock, bell, stained glass windows, two peregrine falcons, Charlie Chaplin’s family grave, and 360 views of London being lit up at night.
Then, to my great sorrow, I lost it.
But now, due to recent world events, I have been given a once-in-a-lifetime second chance to re-enter. And this time I have huge ambitions with the place.
I will make it a host for collaborations, functions, debates and meet-ups. The aim with the tenure will be to arrive at a new set of symbols for humanity to gather around, negotiated with the very diverse community surrounding the tower.
And all this will be an epic story to follow. Instagram and my 41,000 faithful followers will be the jumping-off point into a world of purpose, scale and resilience. I intend to put the tower on the map as a cultural icon for our brave new world – a transmitter of hope and resistance.
This address will provide the scope to make this possible, but to get the keys I am seeking your kind HEEEELP! I have TWO WEEKS to come up with the upfront payment of £32,000 for an eight-month tenure. Or else the tower will go to waste on the rental-market.
