Save Time & Again Theatre Company after huge fire

In the early hours of Saturday 26th February 2022, the storage unit which housed the entirety of Time & Again Theatre Company's set, props, costume and equipment burnt down.

Time & Again focus upon telling historical stories, and have amassed a carefully curated selection of vintage and painstakingly custom-built items since our formation in 2017. This includes the Blackburn Monoplane you see in the image above (from our original, award-winning show Clouds) which took countless hours of our own labour, and a set of custom theatre flats which we only finished making eight months ago. We've lost countless vintage costume pieces sourced from charity shops, vintage shops, online and from personal collections. All of these items are difficult to replace and we are devastated. So much of the theatre company's inventory will take a great deal of time to rebuild from the ashes.

All of our lighting and sound equipment, which enables us to tour our shows to rural communities was also in the building.

Time & Again are currently working on productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream, Much Ado About Nothing and new writing piece Earwig all of which are due to be performed from June 2022. We now have nothing: no props, no set, no costumes, no sound and lighting equipment.

Now, just as we were entering a really busy rehearsal schedule, we suddenly need to refocus a great deal of time into sourcing and rebuilding everything we need to put on our shows. Whilst there was a small amount of insurance cover for the unit, we have no idea how long this will take to pay out, and it's nowhere near enough to cover the unique and handcrafted items we've lost and the time it will take to rebuild things from scratch, travel to and source unique vintage items and remake and refind over 50 period costumes.
