Hello Little Friends Families!
We are so excited for the school year to start, and hope that you are too! Our beloved directors, Becca and Brie, have been hard at work getting everything ready for another great year.
As many of you know, Little Friends is an independent, non-profit organization. Fundraising plays an important role in supplementing the funds available for things like special events, and in particular providing aid when the school faces a significant or unexpected need. That is why we are taking the exceptional step of writing to you before the year has even begun: we need to save our swings!
Becca and Brie have discovered that the condition of the playground play structure has taken a sudden and severe turn for the worse. With the safety of the kids being paramount, Becca and Brie are taking immediate steps to replace the play structure. Outdoor play and physical activity are an important component of preschool education, and, of course, our kids love the playground!
You can see the type of awesome new structure that Little Friends will be installing in the attached photo (note that final details are still in process, though!).
We expect that Bethany Presbyterian Church, where Little Friends is housed, will contribute what they can. The new play structure was intended to be the focus of fundraising for the next few years, but it can no longer wait that long. We need your help!
Becca and Brie estimate that removing the old play structure and purchasing and installing the new playground will cost upwards of $21,000. This playground will provide hours of enjoyment for our kids and years of Little Friends families to come.
