Save Our Recovery Community Centers
CCAR’s Recovery Community Centers are lifelines for thousands of people across Connecticut—safe spaces where individuals in recovery find connection, support, and hope.
In 2024 alone:
- 56,000 visits were made to our 8 Recovery Community Centers by 23,782 individuals
- 9,429 visits were supported through extended hours
- 50,710 volunteer hours were dedicated by CCAR’s community
- Volunteers made over 43,000 telephone recovery support calls, offering critical connection and encouragement
As we look ahead, we face financial uncertainty. While we remain hopeful for continued state funding, we cannot afford to wait and see. We must act now to ensure that our centers stay open beyond June 30th.
How You Can Help:
If every one of the 23,782 people who visited our centers donated just $50, or if all 56,000 visits represented a $20 donation, we would reach our $1.2 million goal—the amount needed to sustain our centers.
I want to be clear: I am committed to doing everything in my power to keep our doors open. I will continue conversations with community partners, engage legislators, and organize fundraising efforts to protect these spaces that so many depend on. But I can’t do it alone. We need you.
- Share your story – Your voice matters. Submit a written or video testimonial about how CCAR has impacted your life.
- Show up – Visit our centers, attend events, and amplify the message that recovery support must remain accessible.
- Give – Every contribution, big or small, brings us closer to securing our future.
Together, we can save our centers—because our centers save lives. Let’s stand together to keep CCAR strong for the thousands who rely on us every day.
