The Xavier West Beach lawn tennis courts have been played on for over 100 years.
Dating back to 1922, when the SA Catholic Tennis Association first started, our courts have played host to tens of thousands of tennis players, from professionals to beginners.
Our club has such a rich history of lawn court tennis, which is currently under threat, due to the infestation of Kikuyu that is taking over the courts.
After successfully redoing one court in 2023, our seven other courts are in desperate need of renovation before they are completely taken over and become unplayable.
After multiple failed attempts at getting grants to help cover the court renovation, we are turning to the public for support.
We are looking to raise $21,000, which will allow us to dig up and reinvigorate three more courts ($7,000 per court) in the next few months.
Without this funding, we fear the sustainability of our courts and our club moving forward.
We are grateful for any contribution that you can make in support of this cause, no matter how big or small, it all helps.
Larger Donations:
- $250 or more = free sponsorship signage on the back of the courts for you or your business.
- $1,000 = name or business engraved onto a plaque which will be proudly displayed on the wall of the club.
- $7,000 for a whole court = we will put up a permanent sign on that court in recognition of your generous contribution to the club.
