Save Our Dance Studio Location

Studio 19 Centre for Performing Arts has been in the downtown Eustis area for over 25 years.  Like most small businesses we are slowly rebuilding and returning back to normal operations however, we are faced with a building debt which would force a move completely out of the Eustis area. I LOVE dance, always have, whenever I thought about having my own studio I always thought it would be in a small town similar to the one I grew up in. Studio 19 is my dream come true, a beautiful facility in the heart of downtown, great instructors, and the best dance families I could ask for. I have tried to build a home for my students, a safe judgement free place for them to create their art. I am a dancer and teacher first so the business side of studio ownership has been a learning process unfortunately, I was in the process of correcting a rather large business error when Covid hit and we were forced to close. Closing for a couple months was not the end of the world, performers are by nature resilient, what I was not prepared for was being denied for every aspect of small business assistance I applied for. After several denied application attempts I contacted a new accountant, SURPRISE more business issues thankfully not my fault and fixable over time. Time however, is something I do not have a lot of. The studio is located in a prime space and has extremely reasonable rent and utilities which does not exactly help my situation. I need to come up with $15000 in the next 30 days to stay in my location. The amount is large but not completely unattainable. My business mistake #1 was never taking a pay check from the studio so I have no personal income to qualify for a loan. I come to you my friends, family and fellow dance/performance art lovers for help in the biggest fight of my short studio owner career. I have a new advisory committee in place to help with the "business" parts that got me into this situation, I am asking if you would be wiling to help keep us in our home. I am not finished building dreams.
