The Kos family Cancer Fund

On January 24th 2014 our family received news that has forever changed our lives. My father who has been an employee of Amador Valley High School for 28 years was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. As a proud employee, husband, father, grandfather, and friend my father would never ask for help like this. My mom having health concerns early on in 2013, her being put off work, then her benefits for unemployment were cancelled we are in a financial hardship. My mom will be the one taking him to all schedule appointments, chemo/radiation. The radiation appointments will be everyday but out of the area that they live in. Then chemo therapy will be every other or every two weeks in Antioch... My parents cant pay PG&E, get food, or pay little bills they have because of the price per doctor visit, and gas to drive there. We our reaching out to anyone from any community including the community of Pleasanton that my father has worked so hard for, to donate so he can just focus on getting well. The added stress of knowing you can't pay for things will only be negative energy surrounding my dad.. The money you wonderful people donate or give will be used for the following: medication, gas for back and fourth appointments, food, any other bill they can't take care of now. If you personally know my family or my father you know it wasn't easy writing this to ask for help. We have always been able to take care of each other. As a family we feel this is bigger then us and could really use the extra support and any help given. Anything that is given will be considered a gift from god and a blessing to our family!
