Mr Boopers was rescued out of the streets back in December 2024. We weren’t ready for another cat but the universe had other plans for us.

He has been such a delightful addition to mine and Ryan’s little kitty family and he and Ryan have become best friends. Ryan hasn’t been working for a few months due to a back injury and he gets some money from disability at the moment, and I am currently working doing my beauty stuff, however unexpected costs for Boopers’ care has come up within the last couple months which has turned our financial situation upside down. Boopers is currently experiencing complications with FIC (feline idiopathic cystitis) which is a fancy word for getting crystals in his urine that back up and cause a blockage which can be fatal.

He had a partial blockage a month ago and two vet trips and treatment cost almost $1,000. This week he has had two more blockages and we are now facing hospital stay and PU surgery which removes his little tiny kitty penis to widen his urethra so he no longer has blockages. He will be staying overnight in the hospital with surgery scheduled for tomorrow 8/15.

we are currently at the VCA animal hospital in Rancho Cordova and they have been nothing short of amazing with his care but the unfortunate reality is the expense which is going to be well into the thousands. We do not want to put him down because of this. He is still young and brings us so much joy that we will do what it takes to get him the care he needs.

I am starting my estimate at 5,000 but it may be quite a bit more.
