Save Millie from FIP-feline infectious peritonitis

https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2019/02/190213100442.htm  Allie rescued Millie this summer, as she had been a stray found in East Nashville.  Millie is the sweetest cat and has truly bonded with her feline sister, Harlow.

In December, Millie began acting lethargic and running a high fever of 105-106 degrees. Allie went to the vet and had them run extensive tests after the antibiotics did not work. She was diagnosed with FIP- feline infectious peritonitis. The disease has historically been fatal in 95% of cases, but there is hope in the last couple years thanks to a new antiviral medication found in trials at the University of California.

This medication, Mutian, turns a fatal diagnosis into 60-80% cure rates. This % is even higher when the cat is diagnosed early. We believe Millie’s FIP was diagnosed very early and she has been responsive to the first  rounds of medication.  Due to pet insurance not covering the treatment, Allie is having to pay upwards of $7500 to save Millie’s life.

Millie is worth it, undoubtedly.

Any donation counts and thank you in advance for any generosity.

Thank you.
