SAVE MERCY SAN FRANCISCO

We are STUDENTS from Mercy High School San Francisco. Mercy is a Catholic all-girls college preparatory high school located in San Francisco, California. We are one of three all-girls schools in San Francisco. This school has been a huge part of our lives and we can't imagine living without it. We have created such tight bonds with our fellow students, staff, and faculty. This school has become a community and a safe space for so many students. Mercy is a place students can call home. On January 10, 2020, we were notified that our school is set to close at the end of this spring semester 2020 due to financial and enrollment issues. This means that next school year current Freshmen, Sophomores, Juniors, and Faculty and Staff will not be able to call Mercy San Francisco their home. This has caused students, faculty, and staff to feel heartbroken and anxious about what the future might hold. But we students have hope. We know that with YOUR help, we can save the beautiful Mercy community that has developed through the amazing 68 years this school has been open. 


We are planning to raise this set amount to save Mercy and the community that it has created. We need this money to, hopefully, continue to run the school for the foreseeable future while helping build an endowment. If NOT possible, the funds will go to helping facilitate student and faculty transitions at the end of this upcoming spring semester.  It would help by giving students scholarships to schools they could other wise not afford, and/or severance to teachers who need it.

Somos ESTUDIANTES de Mercy High School San Francisco. Mercy es una escuela católica de secundaria, en San Francisco, California. Somos una de las tres escuelas de mujeres en San Francisco. Esta escuela ha sido una gran parte de nuestras vidas, y no podemos imaginarnos sin ella. Esta escuela se a convertido en una comunidad para nosotros, y un lugar de seguridad para tantos estudiantes. Mercy es un hogar para los estudiantes. El 10 de Enero, 2020, nos informaron que nuestra escuela va cerrar sus puertas por siempre al fin del semestre de primavera, 2020, debido a cuestiones financieras y de matrícula. Como consecuencia de esto, los estudiantes actuales, y los profesores y facultad, no podrán continuar en la escuela de Mercy SF. Este asunto a causado un sentir de tristeza y ansiedad sobre el futuro. Sin embargo, nosotros los estudiantes tenemos una gran esperanza. Con SU ayuda y apoyo, podríamos salvar la linda comunidad de Mercy, que ha crecido y dejado su marca, durante sus 68 años de trayectoria. 


Estamos planeando en recaudar este monto de fondos, para salvar Mercy y su comunidad. Necesitamos estos fondos con la esperanza de que la escuela pueda continuar para adelante, mientras tratando de levantar una donación , o si no,  ayudar de facilitar las transiciones de los estudiantes y facultad al fin de del año 2020.
