Hi there! My name is Cayce and my Cat’s name is Marshall. He is the sweetest cat I have ever had the pleasure of loving. Truly my spirit kitty.. He deserves so much more than I am able to give him right now, so I’m needing some extra help. If anything were to happen to him, a piece of my soul would go as well and I’m not ready for that at all.

Marshall started dragging his back leg Friday morning, 2/7/25 and by the evening, was unable to bare his own weight or lift himself up at all.

He’s been in the same spot on my bed since I brought him home from the vet yesterday, 2/7/25.. He has not used the bathroom, when I do take him to the liter box he just lays there and is only able to eat wet kibble if I bring in front of his face.

The vet did an exam and didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary besides his ankle being tender.. He suggested we give him pain meds & anti inflammatory.. so we did but nothing has changed, his symptoms have actually progressed. I was fearful he was bitten by a spider given how quickly this all happened but the vet ruled that out by telling me he didn’t see a spider bite doing the exam…… He also had nooo idea what could be causing this which makes this all so frustrating.. just want my cat to get some help as this is breaking my heart seeing him this way..

2/8/25-Saturday

I was told to bring him back to the vet this morning, the vet examined his spine this time and believes something is wrong with with his spine and highly recommended I take him to the ER. I was able to get a quote and the out of pocket cost for my cat to get an X-ray along with everything else needed is $1,247.25 and I believe it’s just going to go up from there.
