I'm writing this with a heart heavier than words can express, to ask for help for someone who means the absolute world to me - my sweet Louie.

Lately, Louie has been struggling to walk, his back legs growing weaker with passing time. Watching him lose the ability to do something so simple that once filled him with boundless joy — has been devastating. After seeing our vet and a neurologist, we're facing the terrifying possibility of a serious spinal condition. The next urgent step is an MRI and spinal tap to understand what’s happening and to give him the best shot at recovery. Without it, the risk of permanent paralysis looms.

The cost, around $7,000, is overwhelming. It's far more than I can carry alone. That’s why I’m humbly reaching out, to ask for your help.

If you know Louie, you know he’s not “just a dog.” He is family. He is my heart. His goofy smile, little nub, and unwavering love have pulled me through my darkest days. In truth, Louie saved my life — and now I want to do everything in my power to save his.

He’s brought so much light to everyone he meets — whether it’s a full-body wiggle hello or a well-timed snort that makes you laugh through your tears. He’s pure joy in dog form. To stand by and do nothing is not an option. He deserves a chance; at diagnosis, at healing, at more sun-drenched walks and all of the adventures his little body can handle.
