Hello,
My name is Sherri Morse Garner, I am the younger sister of Lorrie Morse Bolton. I'm setting up this Go Fund Me page due to the excessive and expensive debt for my sisters recent diagnosis of Stage 4 colon cancer. Lorrie had a very minimal insurance policy when she was diagnosed with this terrible disease. All of you that know Lorrie, know that she was always on the move, whether she was hiking with friends or rock climbing. She was incredibly fit and just starting to enjoy a new chapter in her life, when it all came crashing down around her. Her children, Noah and Sarah were getting ready to go off to college to pursue their dreams and Lorrie was starting a new business herself. I will never forgot the call or the utter devastation I felt for her and all the family. Her first words were "I AM going to beat this with God's grace", he will bring me out of this fight for my life, so that I may help others." Again, all of you that know my sister know that she is always wanting to help others. She has had indescribable pain since her first surgery in March of 2017. After surgery she was sent home and placed on palliative care and prescribed very intense pain killers. She was not really given a chance to survive due to the restrictions placed on her treatment by the insurance company. Yes, there is anger in my tone and sadness in my heart, because due to their lack of empathy towards another human, my sister, is now fighting for her life.
We have lost the one thing she could not spare, and that was TIME! We have since moved her to The University of Washington Medical Center, that houses the "Seattle Cancer Care Alliance". They have done more for her in the past few weeks than all the other facilities combined! We did have a set back this past week (August 22, 2018) where we almost lost Lorrie. Lorrie's bowels stopped functioning due to more cancer growth and the radiation treatments. I will not sugar coat this, it is bad! She will have to battle for her life! Which is why I'm starting this page. The last thing I want her doing is worrying about money and how she is going to pay for her care or get her children by her side. God Forbid anything goes wrong! Lorrie, as you all know, has a giving loving soul and we as her family are trying to get the care she needs in order to save her life. If you can help, we would greatly appreciate it and ever be indebted to you in our hearts. We also want to thank all those who have been in and will continue to pray for Lorrie and her battle.
