Please meet Lev, who has a birthday each day. A wonder child? — He is definitely for us: his parents. But the reason to have a birthday each day is that Lev has been fighting and surviving a Leukemia for four months since he was diagnosed back in November 2017.
We are immeasurably grateful to all kind people who helped Lev to get to this point in treatment, providing financial and emotional support!
Fight Goes On
Despite some positive dynamic after chemotherapy, Lev has to go through a stem cell transplantation (aka SCT) in early May. Doctors say he has an excellent prognosis for success judging from his response to the latest chemo block and also due to the perfect 10/10 match with the donor, who has already been luckily identified and reserved for our son.
However, after expensive chemo which drained not only our family savings but also savings of our close friends, we will not be able to cover the expense of the SCT without your help!
Our Plan
SCT base cost is estimated to be €250,000. SCT will be executed at Helsinki University Clinic HUS, K10 Ward. It is on the list of top 8 countries with the highest survival rates for children. We want him to live.
Lev is very much lucky to be at K10. Doctors who manage his treatment are not only practitioners but scientists who continuously contribute to the worldwide study on pediatric cancer treatment.
