Save Josh & Tabitha Rosa's Children

I met Josh two months ago. He flies volunteer Angel Flights for needy patients, is a loving father to five children, and with his wife became a foster parent to three more children because he did not want these siblings to be separated into different foster homes. Josh is happy, determined, grateful to be alive and working hard to care for his family. Though he was in a horrific crash a year ago, he never complains or lets on that he is under any pressure or in pain. What I did not know two months ago was just how hard Josh is working to care for this family nor did I know the size of his family, the severity of his injuries or how behind this put Josh.

Josh has spent months recovering, underwent fourteen surgeries with nine surgeries still to go. His body is a patchwork of grafts and bone plates, yet he is back to work to keep his home and family.

Josh has not asked me for help. I'm sure he never would. But I have become his friend and I feel compelled to share with you what I have learned. During these months of recovery Josh's mortgage has become severely lapsed. His home will be taken from him on December 12, if he does not raise $21,000 more in back payments. He has an RV he is content to live in until he can get back on his feet, but if he looses his home the foster children will be taken from him and he will loose his considerable equity in the home. (Other complications preclude a second mortgage.)

Being in the aircraft salvage business much of Josh's work is physical. He must dismantle aircraft, often put them on trailers and drive long distances. Josh's injuries have made this impossible for months, and for most men this would still be impossible, but even with his injuries, Josh drove 1100 miles today to deliver a trailered plane from Florida to New York. Tomorrow he is scheduled to trailer another plane and drive it to Miami. Then he picks up yet another plane and is to drive it to Kansas. In or near Kansas he hopes to pick up an aircraft and bring it back to Florida. Josh is no slouch. He is pushing himself in spite of his injuries and pain, but this will raise only half the money he still needs even if all the jobs work as planned.

Josh and Tabitha are truly giving, loving, hard working people who spend their lives advancing aviation and caring for those around them. I am donating $1,000, and implore you to do what you can to help this gentleman keep his home and the children he loves.
