Save Jackie’s Smile

Hi there, it’s Jackie here with round two of Save Jackie’s Smile.

For those who weren’t around for round one let me get you up to speed.

TL;DR: I have bad teeth and require at least one crown and several fillings to keep the ones I have.

so, back in August 2020 I needed to get a some dental work but couldn’t afford it, without said work I would be missing a front tooth now (and am forever grateful to those who contributed, words do do it justice).

Less than a year later I lost my job and my access to dental care, meaning what problems I still had went untreated..

Until this summer at least.

I have finally made it to the dentist and that year of neglect has made its mark (literally). I had one rear molar pulled, it was slated to get a crown but the damage was too severe.

currently I’m having a canine (front tooth, slightly right if the center two) crowned and will require at least two fillings (which left undone will likely result in more crowns/pulled teeth).

naturally I have already met the cap for dental insurance this year. The initial crown costs $1800, while additional fillings are quoted around $400 (per tooth for the most damaged ones).

My hope is to raise enough money to offset the cost and make the treatment possible without accruing substantial debts.
