My name is Walaa, I am 29 years old, married, and a mother of two children. We live in besieged Gaza. My eldest is 4 years old, and my youngest is just 2. Sadly, my little one suffers from recurring illnesses and skin rashes caused by the polluted water and the spread of insects due to piles of garbage around us.
We survived heavy bombings, and while my children and I managed to escape, my husband was badly injured by shrapnel. His injuries have left him unable to work or provide for us, and he is still suffering.
Our home was in the Karama area, and before all of this, we had a stable life. Since October 7, everything has changed. We lost our home, we were displaced multiple times, and each time the hardship only grew. The blockade and the closure of the crossings have made food extremely expensive, and our daily life has become unbearable.
All I long for is a safe life and a future for my children. I dream of taking them to a better reality, away from this suffering. Your support would mean the world to us. Thank you from my heart
