OUR IMMEDIATE MISSION: The Hoosier Heartland Trolley Co. is working to remove our historic collection of railroad cars from their Forest Park location in Noblesville, Indiana. We must reach our fundraising goal by Nov 1st, or risk losing our historic railroad artifacts.
We are currently scheduling a move of the priceless cars for mid-October with support from fellow organizations and a qualified contractor. The estimated moving costs of each car is $7,000, or $28,000 total.
The trolleys will then be transported to a privately owned, sheltered facility in Central Indiana, upon removal from Forest Park. For more information on each artifact, click here .
OUR PLAN
1) Rescue- Relocate our collection to a secure, private site for stabilization until a permanent home is secured (what this campaign is for).
2) Restore- We will engage with industry professionals to restore our collection to operation, starting with Indiana Union Traction No. 429. The goal is to have it operational for its 100th birthday.
3) Run- We will secure a permanent site in which to maintain, operate and interpret our collection and associated artifacts for public education, transportation and entertainment.
4) Revive- Hoosier Heartland Trolley Co will ultimately revive an immersive experience to recreate the full electric railway experience that was once commonplace in Indiana. This immersive experience will serve as a dynamic, entertaining learning tool for public transportation, events, and destination tourism.

Hoosier Heartland Trolley Co. was founded in 2018 as an Indiana nonprofit corporation to save the last remaining pieces of Indiana’s electric railway heritage. The organization exists to spark imagination in people across all walks of life to experience the art, science, culture, technology and economic empowerment of Indiana’s world-renowned electric railway industry from the 20th century.

An anonymous donor has graciously stepped forward and offered to match up to $7,000 worth of donations! If we are able to raise $7,000 here on GoFundMe that means that we will be almost at 50% completion of our fundraising goal.
