Save Harlem Cats and Kitties!!!
Donation protected
In five years, one unspayed female cat and her offspring can produce at least 3,000 cats (at minimum, some charts say up to 420,000)...
This is Harriet. Likely pregnant, she is one of a dozen kittens and young cats living in filth and junk behind an abandoned funeral home in Harlem. We need funds to get each one of these cats vetted, fixed and vaccinated. Because of Covid 19 we do not have free spay/neuter services for community cats . It costs between $150 and $200 per cat. It's a small amount of money when we join together to end the cycle of reproduction in unwanted homeless animals. The ASPCA clinic is closed because of the pandemic but feline reproduction and over population are going strong. These innocents get poisoned by people who feel they are a nuisance, a slow painful death. People throw them out windows or beat them to death with broomsticks. We have seen unimaginable horrors. We need your help to stop more from happening.
Harriet was just rescued this evening. Her sister Henrietta was rescued last week and is now already in a home sleeping snuggly with her human. We want that for as many of these babies as possible.
Every dollar goes straight to these animals. We are a tiny rescue who care for these colonies on donations and our own dollars. Even the smallest amount can help with food or go toward a vaccine.
We are New York City Animal Rescue Girls, a small, grass roots group of women (and a few boys too) who volunteer their time to work together in an effort to improve the lives of abandoned and stray cats in the Harlem, NY area through rescue, foster and forever home placement!
