We only have 2 months to raise $30,000 to keep GPS Kids Club open!
In our community, over 50% of our school age children qualify for free or reduced lunches, indicating that many families are living below the national level of poverty. Our program strives to offer quality affordable child care for struggling families. We provide a healthy meal, snacks, individualized homework help, and structured activities for over 40 children daily, ages K-6th grades.
We just recently learned, if we do not have an externally monitored fire alarm system installed by May 31st, 2019, at a cost of $30,000, the State Fire Marshal can close our doors. . The timing couldn't be worse. Many families are depending on our program to provide summer care for their children. This will affect over 100 children and families currently enrolled in our program.
Our program can sustain itself with the fees charged, but the cost of this alarm system will be an extreme hardship. More information about GPS KIDS CLUB:
