<div>We're WebMax Canada, and Gadget Tree Tech is a friend of ours. We send people their way all the time, and they've helped us more than once. We've set this up on their behalf, with Alex's full knowledge and gratitude.

<div>Here's what's happening. The shop has been broken into seven times, five of them just since April. The front door is destroyed and it isn't a simple fix. It's an odd size, the building's foundations are poor, and the structure is slated to be replaced down the road. Under the lease, the door is the Gadget Tree's responsibility, and the landlords have been good to work with, but a full rebuild on a building already on its way out isn't the direction they're taking. Insurance is stretched too thin to cover a real solution.

<div>But Alex found one. It's a metal pull-down security gate, the kind you've seen roll down over storefronts in malls. It installs inside the shop, comes down from the ceiling, and locks into the floor. No glass to smash. It's tough, it's proven, and it would let Gadget Tree Tech stay open until a better space becomes available.

<div>We're aiming for $15,000. It won't cover everything, but it'll cover enough that Alex doesn't have to close, and that Sooke doesn't lose one of the good ones.
