Save Furman University Baseball

BACKGROUND

In May 2020, Furman University announced the termination of the Furman Baseball program; a cornerstone of the University since 1896. Players, coaches and families were left without a place to play or coach, and Greenville, SC was left to sort through a future without Furman Baseball.

Furman Baseball represents 124 years of dedicated young men committed to each other, the University and helping kids in the surrounding area. These young men leverage their experience on the baseball field and in the classroom to become influencers in their respective workplaces,  leaders in the community and a generation of role models for their families.

WE NEED YOUR HELP

Save Furman Baseball will use your donation to fund reinstatement of the Furman University Men's Baseball Program and work toward permanent endowment of player scholarships, coaches salaries and annual operating expenses like field maintenance and team travel.

As part of your donation, we will continue our partnership with The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation (dba Vs. Cancer) by donating 10% of proceeds up to $1,000 per donation to fight pediatric cancer.

This campaign is managed by Save Furman Baseball, Inc. a non-profit established by Furman Baseball Alumni and governed by alumni, donors and parents.  Save Furman Baseball, Inc. is registered in Charlotte, NC.

OUR MISSION

Donations made to Save Furman Baseball, Inc.  will accrue until reinstatement terms with Furman University are met.  Donations for Vs. Cancer will be delivered to Vs. Cancer on bi-weekly basis.
