<div>What is Friends Clubhouse? It is more than a day program—it’s a lifeline for adults with special needs. It’s a place where they can spend their day with friends, build independence, and enjoy a sense of belonging.

<div>Imagine being in your late 20s, 30s, or 40s. Think about what you were doing at that age—or what your kids who are this age are doing now. Working, going to school, raising a family, building a life filled with independence and purpose.

<div>Now imagine having the same dreams, but not the same opportunities or the ability to fulfill some of them. For many adults with special needs, this is their daily reality. Due to limited programs, transportation barriers, or limited space, too many are left isolated at home—day after day—with few options for connection or growth.

<div>That’s where our clubhouse comes in.

<div>It’s not just a day program—it’s a lifeline. A safe community where adults with different abilities come to make friends, be themselves, and enjoy life. Each day is structured with creative activities as well as meaningful social interactions, it’s a place that brings joy, purpose, and belonging—without parents needing to hover or carry the full emotional load.

<div>But now, Clubhouse is at risk. The property it operates on is being sold, and without it, these individuals could end up without this safe place for them to go. These individuals depend on consistency, structure, and some don’t do well with change. For this reason, parents are doing all they can to step in and help—some even dipping into personal savings to purchase the property—but we still need your help.

<div>Right now, we’re raising funds to ensure this program can continue serving those who need it most. Without your support, some of these incredible individuals may once again face lonely, disconnected days. And did you know? Lack of social interaction and physical activity is a major risk factor for Alzheimer’s and dementia. This is especially critical for our loved ones with Down syndrome who are at 50-80% higher risk of getting this horrible disease.
