Save feral cats. TNR.

At the moment I have an appointment for one female mother to be fixed Jan 8th at Chateauguay vet. As well as fixing one of her son's who I found a home for. One baby died a few days after birth.The other two siblings will be going to the SPCA as I'm not a social person and dont have the contacts. I've been only doing what I can with what I got and unfortunately with what I dont have too.

What I also do is feed and give shelter to ferals in my neighborhood. Try to help them when they get injured or have infections or infested with fleas or ticks. Last year I was hit with a lot of death amongst my animal family. Some hit by cars, some during surgery, some from a liver disease and some I will never know how.

I get more negative reaction when people find out that I do this. "Just dont feed them, they'll go away" like the people who just abandon them when they aren't wanted anymore in their lives. If not seen not a problem?! "Oh so you became one of those...cat ladies" I always ask myself why there are so many cat ladies out there if it was such a bad thing then why so many. Until I see the cats heal infront of me, trust me to touch them, when I see them join a happy family after I fixed them up and made them trust that not all humans are bad(are they?).  Everyone finds their own success, getting rich, having kids, having a great career...well mine wasnt exactly chosen by me but what fell into my life at a time I didnt feel like I was accomplishing anything. Still dont feel like I've done much in my life until I see the lives I've saved and made healthier. So I am the crazy cat lady but I dont just feed them and let them multiply. I am trying to make a difference that more wont suffer a life they didn't ask for. I Trap, Neuter and Release TNR. and I nurture and if possible find homes.

For the people who truly know me, know I hate reading and words so the fact I just wrote this much is a miracle .
