Save Fatboi

I am beyond sorry to say that my precious boy had to be put down. There just wasn't anything more we could do to save him. I got to be with him the entire time and say goodbye for as long as I needed to. And I am obviously beyond devastated. It will take a lifetime for me to be ok after this loss.

I am so very grateful to anyone who donated or shared this fundraiser. Without you, I wouldn't have been able to keep him pain free while we tried to get answers to save him. I wouldnt have been able to put him down, humanely. And I wouldn't have been able to get him cremated and bring him home to be with me forever. There is a true joy given to me, by all of you, during what is the hardest thing I've ever had to go through in my life. And it clears the darkness, just long enough, to remind me that good people care about me and my family.

Thank you again.

After 2 emergency vet trips, all we know is that he has a mass in his throat. He can not be covered by insurance because whatever is wrong, though unknown, is considered a pre-existing condition. Oliver Fatboi is only 5 years old. He is my certified emotional support animal, and I can not lose him. Not yet.

I need help. After being out of work for weeks because of Covid, and then job loss in our family, also because of covid, we are stuck, and we need help.

I have to at least get the CT to see if it's a tumor or a build-up of bacteria, so we can go from there. One could be fatal, one could be a simple procedure. I can not just let him go knowing he could have a simple surgery, and live another 10 to 15 years. I don't know what else to do. He is my family. He has saved me from myself countless times. I owe it to him to do everything I can...even if it hurts my pride to do so. Fatboi would do it for me.

I know it's almost Christmas, and this year has been so hard on all of us, but please help if you can; donate or share. I will be so, so grateful.

*update* 12/16/2020

We were able to travel a few hours out of state to get his CT scan and Biopsy. The biopsy shows no cancer cells, but that just means we move on the the next round of testing to figure out what is causing the reactive lymph nodes. First will be blood work to test for FIV, FeLV, and bacterial infection. As of today, he is weak, and sleeping most of the time. He is is eating and drinking. But overall, he is not doing well, even with steroids and pain meds. He can't walk very well, and I'm not sure if there's nerve damage, or if it's because he's been laying in the same position for days. Hopefully we will have final answers after today's appointment.
Please continue to share or donate, as we have no idea what the costs will be after a diagnosis.
