Esperanza was hit by an SUV Saturday late afternoon and left in the road to die. I saw the driver hit her - slow down and then keep going.

It was clear that - while devastatingly hurt, the kitten was still trying to get to safety. I immediately stopped and ran into the road to get her and rushed her to the ER where she was stabilized overnight.

The latest report is that she has some pulmonary contusion, a little bit of brain swelling, and will likely have to have her left front leg amputated but is expected to make a full recovery!!

She's quite a young kitten and has a really sweet demeanor. When I grabbed her from the road - no clawing or biting and even last night when she was in the ER - she was still super sweet even when stimulated for meds or any care.

I've covered her ER visit but she'll need a little more cash for vaccines, her amputation and a loving foster/forever home.

I don't ever fundraise and so I'm asking now. Please throw in what you can - $15 , $20 ... and SHARE - I know we'll get Esperanza back on the mend and in a loving home!!

Any dollars raised will go directly towards her care and getting her placed in a forever home.
