Hi folks and thanks for coming here to read about my story. First off, I'm limited in what I can say here due to Nicaraguan libel laws, so what I'm able to post here is sort of general in nature. If anyone has any specific questions you can always email me or message me.
So, my name is Mike and I've lived in Nicaragua for over five years ago. When I came to Nicaragua to live full-time I decided to open a small bed and breakfast on the location of my farm, called El Porton Verde (The Green Gate). I've had a lot of fun hosting people from all over the world and I cherish each and every memory of the nice people I met.
At present, the family of my son's mother have taken over the property and I am not allowed in. I can't see my son, I can't run my business. The legal system here in Nicaragua is let's say to put it mildly, somewhat of a challenge to navigate.
I need the money to mount a legal challenge to the family, fight for the custody of my son, and have some money to live on in the meantime.
I went to the property yesterday to try and bring some food for my son and the family would not let me enter. To hear his cries for "Papa, papa!" was a heartbreaking moment. The family has a culture of violence that I cannot allow Mickey to grow up in. Please help me get back control of my property and fight for custody of my beautiful boy.
