Save Don from Deportation

My name is Kathy and my husband and I came to America 29 years ago and we have worked hard, sometimes days and nights so we could raise our children and keep a roof over our heads. Our children, Emily and Anderson, make us proud every day. They are good children raised in church to be humble and loving.

Recently we have fallen on hard times as I lost my Job. All of our savings have gone toward legal fees as Don, my wonderful husband, was placed in detention and deportation (removal) proceedings were started against him. He is now home with us again because we had enough money to bond him out.  We never intended to be undocumented but when arrived in the U.S. we were deceived by people we trusted. So, here we are 29 years later fighting to keep our family together.

Don and I have to raise money to file our remaining immigration paperwork which consists of I-485 (change of status) and the medical reports that go with that. Also, Don has a case in immigration court coming up in February 2018. We need to raise money for the fees for Don’s layer who is giving us big breaks on the cost of representation etc.

There are lots of jobs for me and as soon as I file my paperwork I will be able to work again. In the mean time we have survived with help from our church and friends and family. Though money is tight and we struggle to pay rent and other bills our children never complain and we are blessed. If you can help us turn things around we will be eternally grateful. Please help us save my Husband Don. He is a good and kind man and losing him would destroy us as a family.
