Dolly’s FIP Treatments

Hi, we are the Richardson family. At Christmas, a neighbor offered us a sweet, beautiful kitten. We were not in the market for a pet…we put our German shepherd “Gyspy” down at the start of covid (the very same day we had to close our buffet restaurant) and we hadn’t felt quite ready. But we were doing a simpler Christmas, so we decided to take her. We named her Dolly (after Dolly Levi from the movie Hello, Dolly). We love Dolly so much. About a week ago, Dolly started to show signs of illness. Out of nowhere, she lost the ability to walk or stand and she stopped eating and drinking. We took her to the vet and the vet told us she thought her symptoms were indicative of a fatal cat illness called FIP. The vet put her on an IV, but gave us no hope for Dolly. For the remainder of our interactions, she was trying to convince us to end Dollys life. She charged us $420 to do things that were of no help for Dolly. Finally we brought Dolly back home so we could love her and figure things out. She was on deaths door and we cried and held her…feeling like the end was likely near. Meanwhile, a friend sent a website (maxpawhealth.com) that claimed to have medicine that had cured thousands of cats from FIP. I looked into it and felt a glimmer of hope! This medicine is distributed by a network of caring people who were able to get a vial of medicine to us in a matter of a couple of hours. We gave Dolly the first dose that night. Within 2 hours after, Dolly stood up and got out of her bed (this is after she couldn’t stand or walk for 24 hours). Dolly has now had 2 doses of this miracle medicine and we have seen her coming back to life. The problem is the medicine, blood tests, supplies etc are adding up quickly, and this is all an expense that is hard for us to afford. If you can spare even a dollar, we would be so grateful!
