Hello, my name is Nicole Trahan, although most people just call me Nikki. I am 20 years old living in my own apartment with my boyfriend Lucien Bushey and my two cats Dexter and Jack. Dexter and Jack are two 5 year old brothers, they never go outside and live a spoiled life indoors. Dexter has recently been diagnosed with cancer on his left front paw. In order to prevent the cancer spreading to the rest of his body he needs to have surgery to get his leg amputated. Unfortunately his surgery, blood work, x-rays, etc. can cost anywhere from $3,392 to $4,034. I don’t have pet insurance and if I were to get pet insurance it does not cover pre existing conditions so would not help in Dexters case. I have a Care Credit card, but unfortunately I used it to cover the expenses of his biopsy at his last appointment. I don’t like to ask for money but I don’t want to see my cat (part of my small family) suffer. Dexter has many years left in him and I want to keep it that way. I am not asking for people to donate hundreds of dollars, anything you can spare is greatly appreciated.
