SAVE DEL PUERTO CANYON
Donation protected
We are Save Del Puerto Canyon , a group that is committed to protecting the history, culture, and geology of this Stanislaus County treasure, and most importantly to safeguarding the people of our community.
We are opposed to the two enormous dams that would hover over the city of Patterson, California. Should the project go through, home sales would require a "hazardous dam flood inundation zone" warning. During construction tons of debris will be pumped into the atmosphere to further impact the breathing capacity of individuals living in our disadvantaged community. Should either dam break, the majority of the city of 25,000 would be engulfed in up to ten feet of water - lives would be lost.
Providing funds to this cause will allow SDPC to proceed with community outreach such as signs, advertisement, special events and legal representation when necessary.
Time is of the essence. Each day that passes is closer to the release of the Final Environmental Impact Report.
Please support this cause and give what you can, any amount helps this effort!
Your support is vital to the protecting of: the rare geology that professors have delighted students with for decades, Native American artifacts such as grinding rocks, historic single rail mining line, scenic creek that meanders along the roadway, endangered species habitat, and protecting the people of Patterson.
