Hi, my name is Jaela, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for help saving someone very dear to me—our family dog, Debo.

Debo is a 8-year-old Rottweiler with the sweetest soul—gentle, affectionate, playful, and always by our side through thick and thin. He’s not just a pet; he’s family. If you’ve ever met him, you’d know how much love he radiates and how deeply he connects with those around him.

But right now, Debo is suffering, and I’m desperate to get him the care he needs before it’s too late.

Debo’s Health Crisis

Last August, while pet-sitting for him while my parents were away, I noticed something was terribly wrong—he had lost his appetite, was constantly vomiting, and his weight was dropping at an alarming rate. I rushed him to the vet, where he was diagnosed with pancreatitis, a painful and potentially fatal condition if left untreated.

At the time, I was able to cover his treatment with my parents' credit card, but since then, due to their ongoing divorce, neither of them has stepped up to continue his care. His condition has worsened again—severe weight loss, vomiting, lethargy, and painful sores from constant itching. He urgently needs multiple vet visits, prescription food, and medications, but my parents refuse to put any more money toward his health.

Why I Need Your Help

I am currently unemployed and unable to afford the critical vet care Debo needs. The cost of hospitalization alone is $1,000, and that’s just the beginning. He also needs:

I have begged my parents to either take responsibility or allow him to be adopted by a loving home, but neither has happened. I love Debo more than words can say, and it’s unbearable to watch him suffer due to neglect. If I had the means to take him in, I would in a heartbeat, but my current living situation won’t allow me to care for a large dog.
