Hello. My name is Riley and I am currently active duty in the Air Force, living on my own and stationed thousands of miles away from my hometown. This cat, my little boy, was abandoned on the streets over a year ago, when his previous owner left for another duty station. After days of hearing him cry at my windows, I rescued him and brought him into my home, and we have become each other’s source of comfort. The past few weeks, he had become severely lethargic and not eating or drinking. Multiple vet appointments, antibiotics, inhalers, injectable steroids, nebulizer treatments, etc. have been a constant the past 2 weeks. He was being treated for an asthma flare up. Unfortunately, I had to rush him to the emergency vet after his lethargy increased and his breathing had become labored. The vet completed an X-ray and my little boy has been diagnosed with severe pneumonia. He has now been staying at the emergency vet, overnight for days, but is showing improvement!!! He has finally begun to eat again. I am not one to ask for help, but being young and on a military budget, the emergency vet bills are adding up to a few thousand dollars already. I will not give up on my boy, and ask that you please donate whatever you can to help assist in returning my little boy home, healthy and happy. He is my family. Thank you so much for your help.
