Well folks, here we are.
We have done our absolute best to make business work under all Covid-19 limitations since we were asked to close our doors in April.
Since then, we opened under Phase 2 regulations in June. Us, like many other businesses have been jumping through countless obstacles ever since, with every intention of making it through this pandemic.
We have done our best trying to survive without asking for the help from our loyal customers, community and supporters, but as of Monday we will have our backs up against a wall with no sign of the light at the end of the tunnel until there is a vaccine readily available, which (fingers crossed) will be sooner than later.
The goal here is to get us to that point!
As of now, we have exhausted our resources. The pairing of being open and the government subsidy loans have barely been enough to pay the monthly bills with cases and restrictions fluctuating.
For over 15+ years Absinthe has been the home to weekly staples such as: Motown Wednesdays, I Say Disco You Say Punk, Aftercrawl, 90's Rager, All Killer, No Filler, countless Housh of Adam and Steve events, plus so much more. Not to mention we have hosted thousands of local and worldwide talent on our stage and will fight until the bitter end until we will be ready to close our door permanently. Absinthe is synonymous with Hamilton, and we refuse to accept defeat.
We know that times are tough and everyone is currently struggling. It would mean the absolute world to us if you could dig deep and help where you can to help us ensure that we can say that we survived this pandemic and to give this great city a stage/venue to once again perform on and enjoy.
