Chikko made it through his surgery and was on the mend....But the vet that originally saw him assumed he was in heart failure and put him on meds that shut his kidneys down Meds he never needed his cardiologist aggreeed that he didnt think he went into heart failure but couldn't argue with a colleague.Because of this hes been fighting for his life and we are looking at another almost $6000 vet bill.Chikko is such a good strong boy that deserves our fight and im so glad we didn't give up on him.All his blood work was re checked this morning and they are all almost perfect!!! His kidneys were at a 400 when admitted on Wednesday and they are back to a normal 140!!He is still on iv Support and had a feeding tube placed as he hadnt ate in 72 hrs because of being so sick. Support Chikko’s Lifesaving Surgery

Ashley Howard of Ashley Howard Grooming is going through an incredibly difficult time. Her beloved dog Chikko — her loyal companion and best friend — went into heart failure earlier this week. After an emergency overnight stay, visits to a cardiologist, and additional care with an internal medicine specialist, Chikko now needs urgent surgery this Wednesday to save his life.

Through it all, Ashley has shown incredible strength — working long hours, rescheduling her grooming clients, and doing everything she can to hold it all together. But the emotional and financial burden has been overwhelming: vet bills are already at $6,200, with more to come after surgery.
